The Dubai Health Authority recommends influenza vaccination for adults aged 65 and over, children aged six to 59 months, pregnant women, and people living with chronic health conditions. Vaccination reduced flu-associated hospitalization by an estimated 30% in adults and 41% in children during the 2025–26 season. Book these household members first.

Children become eligible at six months. The nurse injects into the deltoid muscle of the upper arm or the thigh where the deltoid is not suitable, then writes the batch number onto the child's vaccination record. Children aged six months through eight years being vaccinated for the first time need two doses at least four weeks apart we schedule both visits when you book.
The DHA guideline names chronic health conditions, pregnancy, a body mass index of 40 or above, and age 65 and over among the groups it prioritizes. The vaccine is inactivated and contains no live virus, which is why immunocompromised adults can receive it. Limited mobility stops mattering when the clinician travels to the patient.
